our weekend

Our Great Dane Asher got a little trip to Tails n' Tubs this weekend for a much needed bath!

Once spring arrives he will get them via garden hose, which he will prefer! Picture take march 2007. Greyson was so tiny!
Jim and Greyson had their hands full, Asher was ready to get out of there!

Receiving the finishing touches, getting dried off by me.

While there we ran into Amy, Brooke & Bailey girl.

Brooke is almost done her treatments and will hopefully be returning to school soon! Greyson will be SO happy to have her in class again. He loves her so much!

Jim was busy this weekend. Besides bathing our pony :) he put together Luciana's new toy:

Baby girl loves her new fun go round!

This one cracks me up!
She was thanking her daddy here:

Just another weekend that went by way too fast...

wonderful wednesday

not much going on today, luciana just played with a bunch of trains and blocks while she waited for her brother to return from preschool.
you guys won't believe me, but this photo was not staged! i just think she likes the milk tanker. actually i feel like a "milk tanker" these days.....
finally captured one of those lovely lashes:

a penny for your thoughts lulu:

she spied the "luciana" block tower right away:

and it didn't stay up for long....

yeah, it was a wonderful wednesday!

she's gonna make me

CAVE!!!!
cave into her wanting to suck her thumb!!! i'm really trying to stay strong with the paci, but just look at this...... i actually promised myself that i would never have a thumb sucker (i don't want to offend anyone it's just a personal preference). when greyson was a baby he too was always trying to find that thumb. i just love the idea of being able to take away the paci when they get bigger and the fact that i know the paci is clean and germ free. lets face it, you can't always say that about their little thumb.
hoping everyone had a fabulous valentine's day yesterday. i will try to take and post a photo of greyson and luciana together later. yesterday poor greyson was in no shape to having his pic taken, he woke up sick with the flu. by dinner time, you would have never guessed he had been ill. he bounces back SO fast that boy!
so i will leave you with a pic from greyson's first valentine's day from Feb. 2005, he was about one month old.

still falling

We are buried in snow here in Maryland and its still falling! Last week school was cancelled (as well as this week too) after we received 9 inches of snow, Friday came the first blizzard which left us with about 15 inches or so. Today we are receiving another 6-12 inches!! This weather is insane and definitely has us yearning for spring!!! Jim hasn’t made it home since last Monday, we are crossing our fingers hoping he makes it home tomorrow.
Last weekend greyson had a blast getting snowed in with nana & boppie!
(picture taken on a much warmer day!)

He was so happy to have some of his very own time visiting.
But, after four days he was really homesick and was missing this girl.

Monday I picked him up and we had a little date together while nana and lulu hung out. We went and saw the tooth fairy. It was really cute, very age appropriate and funny. Greyson gave it a thumbs up!

this was taken at another movie we all went and saw in january, luciana's first!

Speaking of luciana's first...... she had her first taste of rice cereal this weekend. The first attempt was a go! The next three days... not so much. Then yesterday, she decided it wasn't so bad! Tomorrow will be sweet potatoes!!
Not that I have to find a reason each day to miss Grover by any means, but this snow yet again is making me miss my boy so much. He *loved* snowed!! The way he plowed through it without a care in the world, it always reminded me of a giant bunny.
This pic was taken when he was only four months old, this was his very first snowfall, he loved it from the very beginning.

Hello Six Months!

Luciana the days are going by so fast! You want very badly to be mobile. When you are on your belly and you want a toy that is out of reach you place your forehead on the rug and press with your toes until you lift your bum off the floor! It's so funny! You also scoot around in circles. Saturday is going to be a big day for you, trying your first taste of rice cereal. Daddy has been in Denver all week and since he won't fly home until tomorrow afternoon, we wouldn't want him to miss out on the action! Ha! Right now you are 100% breastfed. You eat, um.... snack twice during the night. I honestly can't even remember what a whole nights sleep feels like. But, you know what? Those moments after you've nursed and just before I place you back down in your crib are some of the greatest joys in my life. The way you still completely need me. It is effortless to love you all the time baby girl.
You adore Greyson these days and watch his every move.

I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual. Exhibit A:

He wants you close by, no matter what he's doing....
Bedtime with you is so easy! It seems you have set your own time too, between 7-7:15 every night. You have always been such a still little sleeper, but lately I have found you all over the crib! This morning you had your head raised and were trying to peek over your bumper. Thinking we might be lowering that mattress soon....
You take a wonderful early morning nap, but your afternoon one is all over the board.
You love the bath and the sound of water! You are easily excitable, but startle easy too. You love your exersaucer, and johnny jumper. You are quite the jumping bean these days! You have also become miss grabby hands extraordinaire! You want anything in your sight. Next week you have your six month baby well check. We are excited to see how much you weigh. Two weeks ago you were weighing 13 lbs. 10 oz. You are rapidly outgrowing 3-6 month clothing.
Don't worry baby girl, mama has you covered.....

You are babbling more and more, but will only say "ma ma ma" when tired, fussy or when you want to be picked up. Yes, you could say you have me wrapped. I love how easy it is to make you happy. All you need is for me to pick you up and all is right in the world. If only this could always be the case. I love you and think you are absolutely the most beautiful girl in the world.

Lulu your first six months have been amazing, we can't wait to see what you have in store for us next. It's gonna be a great year!
