This is by far the hardest blog post that I've ever attempted to write. Our beloved Weim, Grover lost his battle with Colon Cancer two nights ago. I wish I could explain the void that has been left in our hearts and in our home. Grovey was our constant companion. Always wanting to be where we were, and go where we were going. He was an insanely smart boy, sometimes too much for his own good. And we thought his beauty was that of no other than we've seen.
Life gave us only seven brief years together, but in those moments we gained memories that will last a lifetime.
For Jim and my first wedding anniversary we decided we wanted to give each other a puppy. So, because we don't usually do things simple like going to the local pet store..... we flew from maryland to philadelphia and then on to San Fransisco. Next we rented a car and drove all night to Brookings, OR to pick out our baby. It was love at first sight!
meeting your new brother asher.....

watching you with Greyson....

I loved these ears....

I loved those eyes......
that look...

that one too.
Yes, i did silly things to you....
because you were *loved* beyond measure
even though you were a mere fifty-five pounds, you fought like a trooper to the very end.
saying goodbye was by far the most difficult thing that I've ever had to do in my entire life.

there will never be another dog that could ever replace the part of my heart that left when you did.

Tara,

I am sooooo sorry for your loss. As I sit here sobbing now, I am reminded of when my sweet kitty passed away. That hurt (or ache) just seems to always be there. I will be praying for you and the family as you go through this time.

I loved each and every one of those pictures. They will be memories to keep forever.

Hugs and Prayers :)

I'm so sorry for your loss. :( You can tell Grover had a happy life and I'm sure he's smiling down on you now. The pictures are such a neat way to commemorate his life and your memories of him. I love the one of him wrapped up in Christmas lights. What a sweetheart!

I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the pain you must be feeling right now. We have a yorkie that we spoil and I dread that day for us as well. He was a GORGEOUS dog! I know you will miss him!

We are so very sorry to hear of Grovers crossing to Rainbow Bridge. What a beauty he was inside and out. Your tribute to him couldn't be more heartfelt and loving. We know your tears will turn to smiles as you look back on that cute little face and remember all the puppy kisses. We thought about giving you a gift certificate to Rainbow Bridge, but your tribute belongs within your family blog. Instead we will give a donation in the name of Grover Tripoli to a rescue service that we rescued two Yorkies from this month. With much love, Aunt Jackie and Uncle Jim
